Impossible List - 15 June
How far I've come over the course of the last month in regards to the impossible list of goals I've set for myself.
Professional
I had a few weeks of pause just there on my project invovling predicting rainfall patterns in Sub-Saharan Africa due to travelling, but that should change over the coming month. I've recognized that I now need to get myself a bigger server to manage the project on. Hopefully that takes place and I start workign on my forecasting enging through the next month.
Health / Fitness
My fitness has taken a downturn, however I'm currently lookign at a big un interrrupted span before running two ultra marathons this summer/fall. Soon I'll be back on running and then I'll add back in gym visits and get myself buff and ready to run.
Personal Skills
I've started to work through comments in my books and I think to address them I'll need to put my work on forecasting down for a bit to catch up with the comments. I'm still hopeful that by the end of the year, I'll have a new draft of my book sorted and I'll have an MVP of my forecasting application up and rnning.

Travel / Events
I have survived Mont Blanc although the trip was an eye opener. It would have been infinitely more comfortable had there not been so much focus on getting up stuff fast. In the end I was happy with the trip and the sights and experiences I had, but it's not something I'd want to do again, because I have little control over the pace and the ability to take photos, eat snacks, drink water or even catch my breath when climbing.
To that end I was thinking about repointing my money saving efforts towards adventures rather than climbing bigger and bigger mountains. I've got a whole host of ideas I'd love to try such as ride a cargo boat up the amazon, Go to the Gerewol festival in Chad, go see a rodeo, dog sledding, watch a space launch in Khazakstan or ride on RAGBRAI. Too much to think about, maybe I'll take it a year at a time.
Volunteering / Charity
I'm starting to step up when it comes to the running of Tayside Re-Users. If we can get some of our basics in place we should be in a better place to better understand our business and get it running smoothly making money. It will take another six months to start seeing some of the fruits of my labour though.
Education / Languages
I have given up Duolingo in favour of further learning later this year in an online course. I was looking at this and I'd love to do it, but I'm not sure spending a grand on a year's worth of Russian courses is the best use of money. I need to find something more local and more conversational to really move me forward.
Financial
Just working hard in my role as React Tech Lead and trying to sort out my shop and put everything into a good status. We are moving forward, but this might take years.
