Impossible List - 15 May

How far I've come over the course of the last month in regards to the impossible list of goals I've set for myself.

Professional

This project has gone through a few iterations now, but I feel like I've built a solid system for downloading and ingesting the necessary data to make forecasts. It's tested and I'm now working on supporting that work with a logging and warning system when things go wrong. I should have some forecasting available before the end of June.

Health / Fitness

I have taken a few steps back in my running and gym going. I'm not very good with the sun coming up so early. Need to find a way to get myself back into a rhythm and training for the two ultra marathons I've signed up for. My eating is pants at the moment as well. I just need a kick up the backside to get this sorted.

Personal Skills

I've started to get back some comments on my book and there are issues, but hopefully these comments will help me zero in on issues and really get something exciting written. I'm taking two long train rides in the coming weeks so hopefully that affords me some time to work on several chapters and respond to my feedback.

Flickr has 795 photos in it.

Travel / Events

Travelled to Orkney and had a good time. I think Louise would really like to live on an island, but it just doesn't seem for me. Very claustrophobic I'd think.

Next trip is to climb Mont Blanc.

Volunteering / Charity

I'm starting to step up when it comes to the running of Tayside Re-Users. If we can get some of our basics in place we should be in a better place to better understand our business and get it running smoothly making money. It will take another six months to start seeing some of the fruits of my labour though.

Education / Languages

I have given up Duolingo in favour of further learning later this year in an online course.

Financial

Just working hard in my role as React Tech Lead and trying to sort out my shop and put everything into a good status. We are moving forward, but this might take years.
