Impossible List - 15 December

How far I've come over the course of the last month in regards to the impossible list of goals I've set for myself.

Professional

The big things in my life are currently my book and running. Although I'm looking to get back to doing a little coding. Coming to the end of the year I'm hoping to take stock and re attack these goals.

Health / Fitness

I need to plan out my fitness regime that will train me up for my races in the coming year. I'm also looking at the idea of giving up alcohol for 2026 and working on my diet so that I am targeting losing 1/2 a pound per week that way it might take the year to get down to my healthy weight, but also hopefully in a sustainable way that will help me keep myself hovering around 12 stone.

Personal Skills

I think if I take it slow with my novel I should be in a good place by the end of next year having written another draft during the year and then begun to work on editing individual character story arcs.

I am hoping to look at a coding project over the course of the year as well and getting some blog articles out of working on it.

Travel / Events

Just back from Thanksgiving in America, it was brilliant to see and hang out with my family. Not much in the way of anything planned for next year. Israel and Mongolia are two countries that come up time and time again.

Volunteering / Charity

I'm working on getting the basics set in place for Tayside Re-Users. Beyond that we need to focus on tackling costs and targeting higher sales to help set ourselves up for the future.

We are not on target o make a profit this year, but hopefully 2026/2027 will be our comeback.

Education / Languages

I've been reading a lot, but no focused education has really been looked at lately. Still need to win the lottery to give this too much more focus.

Financial

Just working hard in my role as React Tech Lead and trying to sort out my shop and put everything into a good status. We are moving forward, but this might take years.
